“Upon the hill facing the ridge that’s where it was. A tall shadow, always dark, even when the clouds would give way to moonshine, you needed good eyes or it would just disappear into the woodland. We had a meadow not so far away, but I only venture out, you know, within the barn and the boathouse. It always was slow the pace of life, until after that winter broke, the mist was there then. Guess you could have called it a challenge to say the least, but doing what I could to help, this time I called it in. Suppose when you’re running scared of something, ain’t no time to ask yourself what’s happening.”
“The wind . . . it’s always gonna change direction, we're lucky we have the sun for consistency. I do understand these events date back years, Mr Roberts . . . just one more thing. The light inside the boathouse, do you always keep it on late at night?”
If you mean keeping a record of entries into this establishment then you are correct Mr Kessler.

I turned and Dalton touched the brow of his hat, we had an agreement for Saturday.
