The sourcing and trapping of the human soul. While long considered an unfathomable enquiry, soon became known as soul spanning.

An altered state of life as an outcome, a living soul inside another physical host. A new end to contemporary science, and from here began The Entanglement.

MR ROBERTS

THE GROUNDSMAN

“Upon the hill facing the ridge that’s where it was. A tall shadow, always dark, even when the clouds would give way to moonshine, you needed good eyes or it would just disappear into the woodland. We had a meadow not so far away, but I only venture out, you know, within the barn and the boathouse. It always was slow the pace of life, until after that winter broke, the mist was there then. Guess you could have called it a challenge to say the least, but doing what I could to help, this time I called it in. Suppose when you’re running scared of something, ain’t no time to ask yourself what’s happening.”

MR KESSLER

“Okay that will be all for today Mr Roberts.”

“The wind . . . it’s always gonna change direction, we're lucky we have the sun for consistency. I do understand these events date back years, Mr Roberts . . . just one more thing. The light inside the boathouse, do you always keep it on late at night?”

LANGTON LODGE

I needed to find a room until Friday, the day was Wednesday the eighth of September. The lush green forests were transitioning into vibrant hues of fiery red and orange, marking the arrival of another season of the fall. I stopped at a place about a thirty minute drive away - Langton Lodge

THE HOST

“Do you retain many guests out here in the sticks Mr Kristof?”

If you mean keeping a record of entries into this establishment then you are correct Mr Kessler.

THE BOATHOUSE

“They vanished on Monday evening, potentially near or around the lake. The accumulating evidence increasingly suggests murder.”

MISS BIEDERMANN

“You would have to take a journey into the future. Maybe even live for a century or more.”

Wearing a stern expression, she directed her gaze towards the flames casting an orange hue onto the panelled walls. I remained composed as my thoughts lingered.

SHERIFF DALTON

“Yeah we’ll be there sunrise. Also . . . it’s Sheriff Dalton to you Kessler.”

I turned and Dalton touched the brow of his hat, we had an agreement for Saturday.

MR KRISTOF

“Stop waiting for your destiny to expire Kessler.”

MR REINER

“Remember you cannot die inside the Terminal, it’s a node on the long waveform, it can’t be broken, only altered.”

GRIFFIN TERMINAL

“Standing from the cold soil at the forest's edge. That sound, wait . . . over there.”
